Gibb River Diamonds Limited (ASX: GIB) is a Perth-based multi-commodity resource exploration and development company which was listed on the ASX in 2008.
The Company’s lead project is the Ellendale diamond project in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. Ellendale previously produced over 50% of the annual supply of the world’s Fancy Yellow diamonds, which were the subject of a special marketing agreement with Tiffany & Co. The project has a JORC 2012 Inferred Resource over the Ellendale 9 Lights Stockpile of 5.2 million tonnes @ 1.26 carats per hundred tonnes with an average diamond value of US$1,200 per carat. The Company is working towards restarting diamond production at Ellendale.
GIB’s other projects include:
- The Neta Gold Project at Edjudina, WA, with a shallow JORC resource of 24,000 ounces Au @ 1.9g/t.
- The Erongo and Kunene uranium projects in Namibia, Africa. These projects are in one of the world’s Tier-1 uranium mining jurisdictions and are prospective for both calcrete and roll-front uranium mineralisation.
- The Highland Plains phosphate resource in the Northern Territory, has a JORC 2004 Inferred Resource of 56 million tonnes @ 16% P2O5 which includes the high-grade Western Mine Target Zone of 14 million tonnes @ 20% P2O5.
- The Iroquois lead-zinc project (GIB 20% free carry to BFS) in the Earaheedy Basin, WA, managed by ASX listed Strickland Metals Limited.
